What We Believe

1. We believe that there is one God, Creator of all things; eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

2. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.

3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, and was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, buried, and was resurrected bodily. Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father.

4. We believe in the hope of His personal, visible, future return to this earth to receive to Himself his blood bought church that it may be with Him forever.

5. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.

6. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

7. We believe in redemptive work of Christ on the cross and that it provides divine healing, through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ.

8. We believe that, according to Act 2:4, Believers who ask for it are given the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.

9. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a holy life.

10. We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.

11. We believe in water baptism by immersion and observance of the Lord’s Supper.

1.  God loves you.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

2.  Because of Adam’s disobedience toward God, sin passed upon all mankind therefore     man is born into sin and is separated from God.

“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”  Romans 5:19

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”  Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  Romans 6:23

3.  Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin.  By receiveing Him, you can know     and experience God’s love.

“But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  Romans 5:9

“…how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;…And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day…  I Corinthians 15:3-4, 6

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”   John 14:6

4.  Each of us must be born again. Receive Jesus Christ by faith and confess Him as     Lord in order to receive the free gift of salvation by God’s grace. (See John 3:1-8)

“For by grace are you saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”  Ephesians 2:8-9

Sinner’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of your Son Jesus Christ.  I believe He died on the cross for my sins; that He was raised from the dead on the third day, and He’s alive right now.  Jesus, I’m asking You to come into my heart.  Live your life in me and through me.  I repent of my sins and surrender myself totally and completely to You.  Heavenly Father, by faith I now confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Savior.  From this day forward, I dedicate my life to serving Him.

Receive the Baptism with the Holy Spirit

The Scriptures tell us that there is a difference between being born of the Spirit (See Salvation) and being filled with the Spirit.  People in the world cannot receive the the baptism with the Holy Spirit.  The life and nature of God recreates our spirit – our inner man and we become a new creature. (II Corinthians 5:17)  Only born again people can be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Studying the following scriptures will prepare you to receive and give you biblical examples of how to receive the baptism.

Luke 11:11-13  John 7:37-39   John 14:16-17   Acts 1:4-5, 8    Acts 2:32-33            Acts 2:38         Acts 8:12, 14-17   Acts 9:17     Acts 10:44-46  Acts 11:15-16       Acts 19:2-6

How To Receive the Holy Spirit

1.  Receive the Holy Spirit by faith.  Receiving is not a matter of trying     to feel something.  It is a matter of faith – believing you receive     when you pray.  You don’t have to tarry for the Holy Spirit.  God     already gave the Holy Spirit on the day of Penecost.

2.  Anyone who is saved is ready to receive the Holy Spirit.  You don’t     have work for the baptism or clean up your life.  The blood of Jesus    has cleansed you from all sin.  Remove all fear of not receiving.

3.  Expect to receive the Holy Spirit when hands are laid on you or if you     are alone, lift your hands to God and expect to receive.

Expect the Holy Spirit to move on your vocal chords and put supernatural words on your lips.  Acts 2:4 says that the Holy Spirit gives the utterance, but man does the speaking.  Simply pray to God in the name of Jesus andask Him to baptize you with the Holy Spirit, then thank Him because it is done.  Now put action to what you believe you have received by opening your mouth and speaking out loud what you hear in your spirit.
