Heaven  Opened  Promising  Eternity

Hell  Opened  Presenting  Eternity

I Corinthians 15:19-22

Hope is an enormous word. I Corinthians 15:19 says, If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

If there were no chance of resurrection from the dead to eternal life through Jesus Christ, then the preaching of the gospel and our faith is in vain. If Jesus Christ was not raised from the dead, it would mean that God does not, nor was he able to keep his word which he swore to David that of the fruit of his loins according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne. (Acts 2:30-31)

Hebrews Chapter 11 tells us how God framed the worlds by faith and how Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah and others all died in faith not having received the promises of God. They saw them in the spirit, were persuaded of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. (Hebrews 11:13)

They all knew and declared that on earth they had no country, but they desired a heavenly country prepared by God. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. They set their hope in God, in his mercy, in his word, and in his salvation. They did not forget his works. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

With God as their heavenly Father they were assured of spending eternal life with Him because they judged Him faithful and able to keep his promise. We know that Jesus came to earth to destroy the works of Satan and to deliver us from the bondage of sin, sickness and eternal death. Hell was prepared for Satan and his angels, not for mankind.

Heaven is opened promising eternity. Days are spent hoping that life will get better. We hope that somehow our lives will change. God has provided for mankind. He has given us his Son Jesus Christ who has already given his life a sacrifice for the redemption of mankind. He was resurrected by God, has descended into heaven and sits on the right hand of God.

Jesus Christ has provided the way to eternal life. He is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). Receive Him in your heart and transform your hope from this life only to living eternal life in and with Him not only in heaven , but now on the earth.

If you take the time to consider the spiritual reality of two eternal places – Heaven and Hell, then you will realize that there is really only one available choice. Hell has enlarged herself (Isaiah 5:14) and is presented daily to you by Satan and his fallen angels ‘living’ eternal death on earth now and eternity in hell for all eternity is not a choice, it is automatic when we refuse to choose the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
