Faith Confession II

HolySpirit

After Jesus ascended into heaven, the Father sent the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost.  He was sent in Jesus’ name to teach us all things and bring all things that He had spoken to our remembrance.  (John 14:26)

Desire to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.  Listen and hear the Spirit of God clearly (be quiet and receive rest in your soul – Matthew 11:28-30), then wait in his presence for Him to give you wisdom and discernment of what you have heard and the Father’s will concerning it.

With the knowledge of his will you are to please the Lord by walking worthy of Him being fruitful in every good work He has told you to do.  You increase in the knowledge of God because you are obeying the truth of the Word and walking daily in what you have been taught by the Holy Spirit.

The presence and power of God is in his spoken Word.  The Word of God strengthens you with all might as you hear it, speak it, and walk in the light of it.  Obey the truth of the spoken Word and live it.  As you walk in the ways and purposes of God daily, you are strengthened with all might according to his glorious power.  Jesus said, ‘for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls’.

With this power, we become able to do the will of God while remaining at rest because we yield to the Holy Spirit as we obey the Word.  We are able to exercise all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness knowing that God’s Word is at work.

Colossians 1:9b-11 …(we) do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

v. 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

v. 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Make It Personal:

Let me be filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that I might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all might, according to your glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness.
